Welcome to my website.

My name is Derek Dallas, hence the D2 Designs.

I am a creative individual who received my NHD in Industrial Design in 1998. After a couple years living in the UK I returned home to Cape Towns Sunny shores in 2002 and worked for a local design studio. After that I found myself entering the world of computer generated 3D Rendering and started my own business called The Virtual Studio. Creating renderings for Television/Movie Art Directors, product designers and then moving into Architecture. Worked in that field for 20 years creating digital imagery for local and NZ/Aus based architectural firms.

Towards the end of that time I found myself starting to use 3D FDM printing as a hobby and my love for designing and manufacturing returned.

Thus I started my new business, D2 Designs.
